Oh man, I didn't think Accept was still around. Haven't heard them in about 15 years.

Balls to the wall!

They just got back together for a summer tour in Europe in 2005, still kickin' major ass. I think Wolf is one of the most underrated guitarplayers in the world.

I, for some reason, thought that Wolf lived next door to your studio.

Nice!!!

brilliant ! that balls to the wall album sounded great - a lot better than a lot of similar stuff at the time, loved the guitars and drums. Of course, my mum used to take the piss out of the cover and seriously questioned the "real manliness" of my musical choices !

I find it pretty amazing that Wolf can play a variety of modules at different settings and it ALWAYS sounds like his sound

when I was recording with Wolf, you could put a mic almost anywhere in the area around the front of the speaker and it always would sound like him.

The hands, the hands, the hands...

Hey Michael! That does sound really cool.... though I agree that the hands are a HUGE part of the tone.

So... which module was Wolf playing through on those clips? Sounds really good! Are you sure that wasn't your Engl?? LOL!

I think it was the XTC. It sounds slightly different in the second half of the clip because I was standing closer to the speaker with the camera.

No, it's not the ENGL, he tried that one to and liked it but he likes the Randall better. Wolf also still has his 50W Plexi (we call it "das BOOT" because it's so heavy, built into a rack) and he even prefers the Randall to the original Plexi.

I have heard many stories of the Accept guys from Bob McRobie who was their FOH guy during the "Balls to the Wall/Metal Heart" time frame. Seems that I recall that a lot of those guys were excellent wood workers not to mention pretty decent musos as well. I want to say that they built some of their own guitar cabinets, or so I was told.

Anyway, I still have to bust out Fast as a Shark. It is still a classic.
