suitable amplification for B&W nautilus 802s

I am just about to get my grubby hands on a pair of nautilus 802s

I am looking for suitable amplifcation. I know that other people tend to use chord or classse amps, but ideally my budget is for something like the bryston 4bsst.

Do you have any other suggestions? I'm sure I won't be disappointed, but will the bryston be a worthy companion for the 802s?

Thanks,

Simon

I'm going to beat Brad Blackwood to the punch and say Pass Labs X series.

Thanks for your quick and definitive reply!

I just had a look at the pass labs website - no dealers in the uk. Can you give me some idea of price?

I would go to www.audiogon.com and look for a used one. It is an audiophile site and stuff generally goes for great prices there. Good luck!!

I would suggest checking out the Bryston 875 8x75W power amp.
I have also a 3bSST (which I think sounds just a tad more transparant than a 4BSST), and the 875 compares very well to the 3B.
You could tri-amp, in the following configuration :
2x100W + 2x100W + 2x300W (those are real world figures).

The 875 is about the same price as a 4Bsst ...

Umm, N802s are not tri-wireable...

The Pass Labs X250 (which I have and sounds fabulous with the N802s) retails at about $6k. It can probably be found for just over half that used...

Stunning combination, imo.
