AD converter options

Hi guys, not been around here for ages, I had to re register. I'm putting together a small recording setup mostly for me, but I will be using it for other things in time, bit of an all round system. need some of your advice.

I'm currently looking at buying a

MOTU 828m3,
Focusrite ISA828 mic pre possibly with digi card
getting sonar 7 pro suite
2 Neumann TLM103's
PMC TB2sA's

thats the bulk at the mo, I have wavelab already with the Algorithmix Plugs, ReNova, all the EQ's, Noise reduction stuff.
Also Have Pro tools M powered, but obviously only works with my M audio card, which is old.

So the question, I'm looking at the MOTU thinking, Do I need all the extra stuff? could I spend my money better on a straight AD interface? and what are my options trying to stay under 800 pounds if poss, maybe stretch for the right thing. I don't have any one particular purpose in mind for this stuff, just that I want it to be good quality.

what are the options, or is the MOTU ok? I'm seeing some people love the MOTU some prefer the RME stuff, but I don't think I need the preamps on the card as I'm getting the ISA828's.

help and advice appreciated.

cheers all

Ian
