Thread Starter | Am I drunk? My PCM70 sounds fatter vs. my 300!
I'm going to post something that will freak some of you out; My PCM70 is way thicker (albiet noisey) than the 300!!! I'm using the AES in & out of the 300 so maybe THAT has something to do with this. It's not necessarily a more refined and/or defined reverberation. It's just super thick & fat! Echorus is great. The 70 is ver 3 and the 300 is GET THIS: the first rev! I never upgraded it because the new splitting algoa divided the sound and power IMHO. The closest I get is the Ambience algo (on the 300) which is pretty dense and fat. Should I go analog on the 300 guys? |

I woudn't even compare the 300 to the PCM70 - they are 2 totally different animals and I love both - though the PCM a little more Jo |

To me, the old converters are a big part of the sound. That goes even for 480.. ruudman | |
