Thread Starter | EMT 140 advice
My search for a reverb with some vibe may be over... I found a tube 140 available locally (said to be in "perfect" shape). I am thinking this will be a very nice addition to the M3000 / Pro Tools world I am used to. The only problem is I know very little about these units (there is some info available online about tuning them and getting a special tool). What do I need to know? What problems am I going to run into etc.? Any and all advice on this would be appreciated. thanks, Nic |

I have a decent isolation room adjacent to my control room to hold the 4' x 8' beast. Am I correct in assuming the 140 doesn't require an actual chamber to sit in (i.e. it is self contained, albeit very large)? Nic |

I've got a solid state version and I love it! There's a company in Illinois called JCC & Associates (847 831 5628). You will get tuning gauge, plate clips and higher output pickups which may be necessary as the only problem with the one you are considering may be that it's a little noisy. Good luck with it. |

Hey Beech, Is that the Martin (Martech) upgrade I've been reading about or an alternative? And do you happen to know the cost on it? mark |
