Did a session the other day, most of the drums thru a Neve Melbourne. The snare thru a Chandler EMI TG-2 then to a TG-1 Abbey Road edition. Signal fed to an Apogee Rosetta 800, then to RME/Nuendo. I was looking for a heavier snare so I used an Audix D2 (usuallya tom/kick mic) instead of the sm57. Simply amazing! The TG-1 handled the extra weight beautifully. If I can get this pre/comp combo in the upcoming Chandler rack, I'll be a very happy customer! Nice work Chandler. -RS |
