| I'm 'pretty sure' the 18/24 is calibrated higher so you can take advantage of higher headroom analogue gear. You lose the -10 option though, if you're using consumer gear.

| Gear addict | I was told that if i keep my levels pretty low it won't matter. If i want to crank my preamps then it's "worth it". I have a Portico 5012, Avedis MA5, GR 500NV, and use a TM1, Royer121, 57, KM184. I record, ac./elec. guitar, vocals, bass. Some drums later (in the box drums for now). Alt/rock, folk style.
