Thursday night, June 12 AES Nashville http://adventuresciencecenter.org/info/directions/ Open to the general public RSVP not required This month we will step back in time with a group of talented men who built some of the first recording consoles used in music studios. Join us for an evening with John Windt (Motown, A&M,) Bob Bushnell (Universal, Atlantic, United/Western), Jim Pugh (Woodland), Saul Walker (Automated Processes,) and Claude Hill (MCI, Harrison.) Learn all about vintage consoles from some of the folks who built them in the studio shop from 1953 until the present. Bob Olhsson and Mike Porter will moderate. Special guests in the audience: John Hall of Langevin, Altec, Electrodyne, Quad-8, Sphere, etc. Mike McLean Motown's chief engineer. 5:30p - 6:00p - Social 6:01p - 6:10p AES Nashville section Elections 6:11p - Program

It was a blast. Thanks to Lynn Fuston's friend Harry and CMT, we have videos that will be available through the AES. We veered way off course but I think most of us learned a lot anyways. |
