Universal Audio 2 LA2 Opinions Sought

I'm thinking of picking up the UA 2 LA2 stereo compressor to use for tracking, mixing and buss work.

If anyone has the unit or has used it I'd appreciate any comments you could share with me.

I own one, this is a tracking compressor good on vocals that are not intense or fast spoken maybe Bass, a character piece for sure. Would not recommend if this is the only outboard compressor you own or for buss, mastering applications. I would recommend a stereo pair of distressors,they will have all the character you need including clean with fast attack & release times. Good luck

I love it!... But yeah, don't have it be your only compressor... Might wanna think about getting a pair of dbx 160a as they would be a nice affordable addition if you chose to get the 2-LA2..

I bought one of the first units last year, it's quite pricey but I really like this thing. It's REALLY great on vocals and vocal sub groups, but I haven't had any luck with it on the 2-buss.
I also have a TLA-100A that I like on vocals and the 2-LA-2 sounds different.

I really like it and i would definitely buy it again.

I was checking the 2LA2 out also, as it looks like it would be cool for tracking and buss comp but even with the $500 rebate they're running now, it's a bit out of my price range.
