FAEFLORA Piss off!!

We are here to help not to give a guy crap. A good name can really help. Names that have the street you live on or calling it the address of your house are stupid names and denote a jerry rigged studio.

We really need to know what your business consists of, location, your personality and favorite color (kidding). Also another trick is called the random noun generator. I know this will sound stupid but get a hat right down a bunch of nouns no matter how silly they may be. Pull them out one at a time and work with combinations. This generally will give you a good starting point. I'd be glad to help if you would provide a little more background information.

Hmmmmmm

How about:

Rcamenzi's House of Sonic Delights

You might want to try any of the myriad of name generators on the internet as well. You can come up with some interesting names to say the least

what you really seem to want is branding, of which the name is just one part. the name should be considered alongside the logo, biz card/website design, marketing, clientele and your own tastes and personality.

to do it "right", you need to hire someone who can do all the graphics stuff, plus the branding.

THAT said, just call it "Serial Killer Studios". that should garner some attention.

if you are recording independent bands, the mystique is critical. things like "the _____ room", or the word lounge, or something that has a modern vintage ring to it. hip-hop and R&B indie's are similar except that the vibe would be different and more "street." corporate clients want something that sounds more professional and modern...etc. i have friends that actually have more than one name for their audio enterprises to appeal to different client groups. extra names - one or two - you know, within reason - are very minimal cost-wise (DBA= $12 and maybe extra business cards) and can be great for target marketing. maybe that could take some pressure off of picking the one perfect name for every different thing you want to do. hope this helps... $.02

cheers,

What about an industrial sounding name like:

Sound castings and die

Song finishing and polishing

Compressor service

Audio recycler

Hit Mill Works

You know, like you really work or something.....
