I've noticed a noise coming from the power supply of the SHMC and since my control room is dead silent, it's been a bit irritating at times when mixing.

Does your SHMC power supply make noise? How loud is it?

Oh, and by the way, the SHMC rocks!!! I've got it on the 2buss and it's staying there!

My Equinox power-supply is a tad noisy, so I acquired a longer power-cord which helps iso the unit/noise.

Doubt anything is loose as Peter Reardon built it...

I hate buzzing toroids.

Is it really really true I can just tighten them into submission?

Thanks for all the replies.

Tommy, where did you aquire a longer power cord? Custom made or...?

I'm going to record the noise and post it up Monday.... It really is driving me crazy....

Is the Equinox power supply the same as the SHMC? I have an Equinox in the downtown studio and if it's compatible, I'd like to swap and see.... Peter, if you're reading this, could you let me know if this is possible and what this noise issue might be. Thanks!

Just call Peter -- he's great. I love mine -- no noise issue.
