Tico Tico Studios in Kemi, Finland ? Other Studios in Finland?

Thanks everyone who posted on my SSL mix room search.

Does anybody know anything about Tico Tico Studios in Kemi, Finland?

I am in planning stages and would like to know about this studio.

Also, any and all studio's in Finland that can cut a rock band. Vintage (or modern boutique with vintage tone) Gear preferred, i.e.; API. Neve, Trident, Helios, Urie, etc. Pro Tools HD. TAPE is a BiG Plus.

Thanks

^ link to numerous music studios in Finland

Finnvox Studios located in Helsinki is the oldest and probably most renowned.

I can recommend these too:

Seawolf Studios

Petrax Studio

hope this helps!

I've tracked drums there a couple of times. Really nice place and they can also record to tape.

Wow, it's not every day someone asks about Finland, so guess I should mention my own place :-)

Lots of vintage Neumann and ribbon mikes, tracking with 16 channels of Neve Portico, 24-track 2-inch MCI tape machine and a vintage Harrison console that used to belong to ABBA. Oh, and a BIG room (120m2) for some serious drum sounds...

Hope you are planning on enjoying Finland in the summer, the winter is not that great...

Good luck with the project!

Astia Studio in Lappeenranta. Great sounding large(ish) live room, TL Audio VTC console, nice collection of higher end rack gear and mics. Anssi is a great engineer and one of the nicest people I know.

EDIT: check ASTIA STUDIO SOUND
