Attention: European Shoppers - Golden Age Music.

Heads up and check out:

http://www.goldenagemusic.se/swe/proaudio/index.html

I have to admit that I don't know much about them but was directed there from within these very pages (can't remember where I saw it though) and WOW are the prices good.

It's in the EU (Sweden) so there's no import duty and they pretty much base all their prices on US street.

It hurts me to say but as much as I try to buy from UK-based companies yet again they've made it really really hard here.

I called one "reputable" dealer on the more esoteric end of pro-audio in London and asked the street price of a Chandler LTD1 and he said "right around £1500" (um, retail is £1550).

Checked Golden Age and it works out £1290.

And ALL of their prices are that good.

OK, so you've got to add shipping but still...

If any one has any experience with these guys, PLEASE jump in and let us know how it went.

Peace,

R.

They are great. I've bought from them a few times, and I'd do it again.

With the curren Euro-dollar rate, it's still very cheap to shop in the states, especially as a private person, since 25% VAT is 6% more than I have to pay in the Netherlands...

Greetings,
Dirk
