Now you just need the rest of the "official GS gear list":

STC8
ADAMs
DAC-1
hedd
fulcrum/d2b
drs-2
ksp8
bigben
soundelux mics

etc

**** it Faeflora, you're one brave forum member.
Check out his Avatar. As far as I'm concerned if he only had an M-Box and a Behringer mic, if he wanted to be a Gearslut it would be cool with me!

You forgot the TG-2 and the API 3124.

This list makes you into a "So much gear for so little time" gearslut.

To be a High Ender that's whole different story.grudge

You need 2 of everything, plus everything else.

Actually, the more I see it, that IS a very nice rack you've got there effects nut. I see you're into Manley stuff. I have a couple of pieces my self - totally love my units. Also have some Universal Audio stuff. Have you got some nice mic's to go with the outboard? Be interested to hear what you use with the UA mic pre's.

So, are you into recording other people, or do you work on your own stuff? If it's the latter - what sort of genre are you into? It looks like you really sussed out what gear you wanted. As I said, the more I see it the more I appreciate it!
Kind regards

effectsnut,
Nice rack..........

So who's head did you beat in to get all that gear?

Also...when someone dosen't sing right or play the drums right, do you just flex, and then all of a sudden it's like magic....they're playing perfectly?

Just curious

I don't know fellow Slutz. Something about this doesn't seem right. Maybe effectsnut is snowballing us here - oh not about his rig, no doubts there...but...well

Look, I'm an Artist/Guitarist presently metamorphing myself into an engineer. As such, in my Artist/Guitarist role I get out into the world, even do gigs in the sunshine.Maybe it's different in the States but most engineers I know in Australia, particularly those that have access to a rig of effectsnut's quality, spend 12-14 hours a day, week after week, even years, in a climate contolled/subdued lighting environment. 80% of their exercise occurs when they push their chair away from the desk to fiddle with the controls on some outboard gear. So I figure maybe some upper leg development, perhaps also around the calves. AND, if you read effectsnut's thread carefully, at no point does he say "Here is a photo of ME in front of my rig".

Let me run this theoretical by you:

OK, judging by the photo of whoever that is in front of effectsnut rack, I'm a little bit bigger than the guys left arm. So, lets say I score a set of original Neve 1073's in mint condition, fully racked, and that they were used only once to record I don't know..."I Know What Boy's Like" by Pussyfoot. So wanting to share the joy I feel, I decide to put a photo up here of me and the Neve's on Gearslutz.
Now - and I know how he will take this ie. as a compliment - but say that Aussie slut amongst Slutz -WiggyNeveSlut - see's it. He'd probably borrow an old Jag (he knows I love them)..drive up to my place and call out "Stedel - come and look at what I've got"
Whilst I'm looking at the car, he'll nip in, grab the Neves, run out the back, down the side, and when he sees me going back inside, jump in the car and drive off. As he's seen a photo of me (as I said the whole of me is about the size of "effectsnut's" left arm) what am I goona do? Drive down to his place and say "Step outside Wiggy", where I'll talk him to death?

Or would I find the biggest guy I know, stick him in front of the Neve's, and pretend it's me? Well go figure.

I reckon that effectsnut is really about 5foot six, and maybe 8stone - max, and in fact he's standing behind the guy in the photo. This is just a bluff to stave off any scenario's like the hypothetical I ran by above. I mean, c'mon folks, that guy has a TAN!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess in Australia they don't have tanning salons.grudge

Or really great self-tanner salons(all the rage here in NYC and LA).

I do agree with effects on hitting the gym though.

I do it 3-4 times a week myself.
