IZ vs. Otari

I'm thinking about buying a Radar, and I wanted to see what the difference between the IZ and Otari versions were.

The Otari version was designed and built by iZ a decade or so ago... once the license agreement ran out iZ built and improved the RADAR under their own name/logo.

Otari Radar II
• inputs are ALL digital or analog, no mix and match (you cannot use this as a converter playing back from Pro Tools AND print a mix at the same time UGH!!!)
• No ADAT card available (UFC will do this)
• LOUD fans. Unusable in the control room
• transfer proprietary format audio files in real time (welcome to 1997!)

iZ Radar units
• inputs can be digital or analog in combination
• takes ADAT cards
• Quieter fans
• transfer WAV file over Ehternet port (Fast)

There are other advantages to the iZ units, but those are the main points.
