Would you be spending your time taking pictures if you just got an API 1608?

You would be spending your time recording or mixing some music, I bet.

Or at least I would.

That being said, I wanna see photos too.

I can also see some 550A's in one of those racks............looks like you almost have enough gear to mix a record.

That was scarcasm folks.

Thanks for clarifying.... I was lead to believe that all I need to mix a record are good musicians, good instruments, an MBox, a Mac II, some velcro and a can of tranny grease. To hell with an API 1608, who needs all those buttons anyways?

That too was sarcasm.
Congratulations!

Looking at purchasing one of these consoles with a 16 channel unloaded expander as i have spare eq's.

I am in the UK and have no way of testing this although i have used
a vintage 3288 (amazing), & have 500V lunchbox loaded with 550a's / 560's.

Are current users really happy with the sound of the console ?

Can you see it being a reliable console (ie not crapping out in a year) ?

Sonically & price how does it stand up to a Tonelux ?

I'm a former 3288 guy using both and couldn't be happier.
Both rock solid great sounding mixers
