Question Mastering Houses?

Hi Slutz!

I would post this under 'mastering' but I chose to post it here, hoping that people in the 'high end' category will have a discerning ear, and won't steer me wrong. So here goes... what's a good Mastering house, where thet except material via the net...etc... and do a great job. The style is pop/rock/jazz... any suggestions?

Thanks Guys!

Can't go wrong with Rodney Mills. Rodney Mills Masterhouse

He's one of the best in the business. And his rates are SUPER affordable for the services and experience which entails him.

After many tries in different mastering houses in US, we finally made some recent and future deals with Brian Gardner aka Big Bass Brian! There's no artist he hasn't mastered for in US from 60's till today.

Contact him through BigBassBrian Say Marko Perunicic (me) "sent" you.

You won't regret it. BTW check his client list. From Hendrix to 50 Cent. And yes... He's located in Hollywood, I see you're from LA.

Peace!

I just had a real good experience in having some tracks mastered with Kevin Nix who works out of LNix Mastering, Ltd. at Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN, USA.

L. Nix Mastering, Inc. - Main Page (website)
MySpace.com - L. NIX MASTERING - MEMPHIS, Tennessee - Rock / Hip Hop / Blues - MySpace.com - L. NIX MASTERING - MEMPHIS, Tennessee - Rock / Hip Hop / Blues - www.myspace.com/lnixmastering (myspace)

It was really easy to get the tracks to him and back via the internet. The turnaround was fast. The price was unbelievably cheap ($45 a track). Most important, the results were professional. The tracks came with a lot of clarity and definition, including some soulful "Memphis bottom."

If you are looking for a no hassles mastering process, Kevin is definitely worth a look.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback. Some of the suggestions/engineers, I've heard of, and others I haven't. But it gives me some insight a an array of avenues to pursue. Thanks again!
