If we made a single channel version of the Juggernaut Twin (i.e. with all the extra features like FAT, dual outputs, line input, 4 transformers switchable on front panel, etc), but it couldn't be exactly half rack and was approx 2/3 rack width (maybe 12-13 inches) would those of you who have requested a single channel/mono version of the Twin like this? It would be table top no rack ears, with optional rack kit.

Oh Dear God.. Please do make a single channel version .....

This is truly a wonderfull preamp in terms of versatility and options ...

But ( on the 500 series) the idea of having to open it up and change the output transformer is totally unintuitive...

If im looking for tone options there's no way in hell that i would want to be distracted and bother about taking the preamp out and installing a transformer..

Absolutely YES!
Really interested in this product but I don't really need two channels, and would love to have all the extra options the 500 series doesn't have and not being forced to buy a lunchbox.
Really looking forward for news in that matter!
keep up the good work!

I've gone over everything with Tim Farrant in detail over the last few months, and because of the chassis costs the 1 channel can't get low enough in price to be below $1600 USD street unfortunately (everyone who has interest in a single indicates they'd expect it to be under $1300), and the circuitry + torroidal takes up too make space for it to be an exact half rack (it would be around 13 inches wide). So for those two reasons I feel that we wouldn't be able to do a single channel rackmount. Maybe one day we'll find a solution.

Can you do a channel in a full-sized 1RU consisting of 1 Juggernaut Uno (?) and a Leviathan? pretty please...

That could be something interesting.. I'd add an EQ, possibly 3 band.. Maybe even 4 with overlappind mids.. If you could use dual concentric pots..
Could be a great channel strip..
Of course would not be 1300$ cheap.. But great nonetheless..

I guess that Nathan wanted to reach the ppl who could not afford a 2channel unit and that are not in the 500 series.. Hence the table top juggernaut idea..
But in the end the pwr supply and the metal work is not so cheap to cut in half (or almost) the price, unfortunately..

Good luck Nathan, the juggernaut is a great recording tool and the DI is very nice.

Bests,

Cheu
