BBQ was wonderful. We had 110 guest this year. Unfortunately we don't have a "group photo" because people kept coming and going. The weather was extremely nice to us and we didn't run out of food or beer (I was worried). Very colorful crowd, all great people. I'll post pictures soon, still recovering and setting up for the session on Monday. It was a great week. I'll post about the MOAW as well, just need a little time.

Now, what are we going to do next year? No more NAMM show. Should we do a CMA (Country Music Awards) BBQ? That would be a hoot. Or maybe an ANTI-CMA BBQ I doubt that a lot of Rock fans are in town for those though. Any ideas?

Tell the Namm people you'll do another BBQ .... I'm sure they'll reconsider with the crowd Wirestock seems to attract.

And what a crowd it was. Simply amazing group of people, all the way from students to people the likes of George Massenburg, Michael Wagener, Brian Tankersley, Bob Olhsson, and so many more. It was a wonderful time. And great BBQ.

Three cheers for Michael and all the sponsors who helped make this possible, and fed us and quenched our thirst (just tea for me). I'm not sure who all they were so I'll let someone else mention names, so I don't leave anyone out.

My favorite quote of the night was by Fletcher:

"I'm Drunk" :D

Anyway... thanks Michael. You are THE man!

Hey Michael,
What type of phones has the drummer got on?
I've got some metrophones but they sound like crap.

correct, Steve.

nasty

they are heraring protectors fitted with Sony (I think) elements. Great headphones if you don't want the click to bleed into the acoustic guitar etc. They sound good for recording and they can get pretty loud.

We had a great time. Brian Tankersley drove me out there in his newly modded red convertible. First time I've ridden with the top down in 20 years, really cool!

It sounds like the gear pimps want to take NAMM back from the musicians. Let 'em have it and lets create a new, much more appropriate event to go along with Michael's BBQ!

This is two years in a row I had something else going on. I wish I could've been there!

Thanks, so much, Michael for providing such a great event. We had a wonderful time and you and Tina were the perfect host/hostess.

The studio is just marvelous and the location couldn't be better.

See you again next year....if not sooner.

P.S. I love the riser is the Control Room.

Instead of a NAMM BBQ next year, why not have an event just for the hell of it, maybe something like:

"The What the Fµ©k, Why Don't Ya BBQ"
