Thread Starter | Toft ATB to A/D D/A but which one?!
Alright so Im stumped and am happy to put it out for suggestions... Im expanding and have decided the best way to go is skip the pro tools rig (lets not argue about the flaws of that choice) and go buy a Toft ATB 16... Im having a dilemma on how to bring it into my computer. The Obvious choice seems to be the Lynx Aurora 16, but than Im looking at cost vs. functionality and considering the motu 24 i/o. With some obvious trade off in quality but how much?! The dilemma comes in that the motu is half the price AND I wouldnt have to worry about getting the aes to xlr snake and the firewire Lslot and I believe could just go 1/4" out of the board to the motu. Let me know what my flaws are in this plan and best way to proceed. |

The trade off between MOTU and Lynx is HUGE The trade off between Lynx and Apogee is less... but between Lynx and MOTU it's pretty damn near "night and day" kind of difference. Best of luck with your search!!

You'll shit your pants when you hear how much better the Lynx is than the Motu.
