Mixer options for 500 series?

I want to put 4 pres and 4 eqs into a 10 space rack and have a mixer of some sort, 8x2 I assume, in slot 9 and/or 10.

I'm not sure what my options are. I'd heard Purple Audio had a mixer, and was ready to buy their rack for that purpose, but I don't think that mixer exists yet (anyone know of any release dates on the Moiyn yet?). Also, I've seen picks of an Al.so. module that might do the trick... something about those pics seems a little off-putting... maybe it's just my ignorance about how they work exactly.

Am I missing anything? Are there other 500 series mixers I'm unaware of? Thanks for any input.

Not much to choose from at the moment. Just those two you already mentioned.

So far, the only two making summing options for the 500 form factor.
JLM, is made to order, the Purple has not been released as yet.

The JLM ones are great - had a good look at them back in October at AES. They're 6x2, but from memory they're pretty reasonable (approx $500USD) so you could get two and have 12x2.

Anyways, here's a GS thread with some pics & discussion

That's awesome. Thanks. The JML stuff had escaped my notice for some reason, but it looks pretty good.

Still intrigued with the Purple Audio set up. I like that there's an internal power supply on the rack, and would hold out for a while for the mixer if I heard the release was a matter of months... but I know it could be a lot longer. Anyone know?

Here is the latest rack we custom made for a Gavin Hammond in London with 2 of our HPM500 mixers joined to get a 12 into 2 + 2 mixer with monitor out and ext in XLR's on the rear and has backlit analog VU meters. The back of the rack has 12 TRS inputs as well as the normal XLR in and outs on a standard lunchbox. The Mic Pre and EQ modules in slots 1 to 4 normal into channels 1 to 4 of the first mixer when no TRS are plugged into those channels to minimise cables when doing remote location recording.

Yes the DI sockets are backlit with blue LEDs
