Thread Starter | The Stranglers 70's - how do they get that sound?
I have been listening to some of my Stranglers cd's (1970's eg. Black and White, The Raven, The Men in Black) and I like the large close sound they had back then. It seemed like a dry and not particularly roomy sound, although I imagine they are using plate reverbs here and there? Can anybody, with some knowledge of 'The Stranglers' and good ears give me some idea of the gear and techniques they may have used? Thanks |
