ADL 670 - Fairchild 670 - Pendulum 6386

All money and brand prejudice aside, how do the three compare?

(BTW Greg desiged the Pendulum 6386 after a great Fairchild 670 unit, side by side)

I'd love to know your know, if even if someone can contribute between two of the three...

Thanks,

Andrews

Greg may have used the Fairchild as a reference but even his website description avoids claiming his unit is a replica. It's cleaner and more modern. I own the Pendulum and have used a good 670 in this room and they are definitely different beasts -each good for their own thing. I don't really think of the Pendulum as a Fairchild replacement, just a very good tube vari mu limiter.

Is your Pendulum an ES-8 or the 6386?

When I spoke with Greg, he definatelty was shooting it out against the Fairchild 670... yes, witht he ability to go cleaner, but with the 670 characteristics.
