about uad plugins

hi, does anyone know if we can use uad plugins without hardware? thanks, bye

You have to have a computer and at least one of their PCI or PCIE cards.

As far as I know this ain't possible and neither in the future.
How do I know ?
Well, the way you can install the software is weather befor or after you've placed the PCI or PCIe card into your computer.
I have done this allready to get the latest driver and am waiting for my card which will arive in a few days.
I work with Logic studio and you are able to select and place them into a track directly aftes installation.
You are also able to click on every butten in the pluginn itself but still it doesn't work.
Try to do some research to understand what the difference is between working with a DSP and other pluginns.
The main reason is that the quality of these kind of pluginns takes lot of CPU from your computer.
And the card does overtake the mathematical stuff that releases some CPU which you can use for other things.
