What monitors for +- 1000$

Hello,

We currently have the Seiwin Classic 8a monitors, but we want to have 4 monitors. We don't want the same monitors as the ones we have now, because we want some better and even more powerful ones.

I am thinking about Genelecs, because they all seem to be saying that those monitors are very good. For around a price class of around 500 they say there are the best, but for more than that I am not sure. I would like to know though!

So, my question: What monitors are best for vocals for around 1000 dollar per monitor?

It would be great if the monitors would have microphone input, so we can take them to our presentations. If there is no microphone input it doesn't matter, we will then have to buy additional monitors with microphone input. These monitors are basically meant for in our studio, so the sound quality is most important.

Do you think the combination of Genelec (or the monitors you suggested) and the Seiwin monitors we have currently will cause conflicts?

Thanks for your time!

Marlon.

ADAM & Focal make some excellent products that I have found reference way better for my work than anything from the Genelec range of products... but your mileage could vary here so I would recommend you try several and get a feel for what works best for you.

Best of luck with your search.

I would suggest to take a serious look/listen to the genelec 8000 series products. Especially the 8040 and 8050. Fantastic speakers.
