the amek 9098i has Classic Mr. Rupert Neve Mic Amps with 0-78dB Gain

Mr. Rupert Neve designed 4 band Equaliser & swept filters, i dont know wat the 5088 has tho

Beat me to it! I love the 9098i. Great sounding console. Only got to use one once, but I thouroughly enjoyed it. They are rarer than hens teeth here in LA, and the one that was installed was ultimately pulled and a Vintage 80 series put in.

I love them too. There was a rack pre/eq that was the cat's meow. It cost arounf d $1700 new.

Studio D in Sausalito, CA had one (9098i). I understand they pulled it for an Icon. I guess utility bills and workflow won out over high fidelity. I think that the 9098 was one of Rupert's best desks. I definitely think the eq section is superior to his earlier work (flame suit on). Of course most of my Neve experience is limited to the 8068 and some of the other 80 series stuff.

Do the racks shown in AMEK website are still being sold or they are just to watch them everyday on a picture and dream about 'em all night long?
