| Studer A-810 & Latency I am thinking of picking up a Studer A-810 for doing overdubs. What kind of Latency should I expect? This worries me a little as I don't want to sacrifice fidelity and timing. |

| I've tracked through a A 810 myself. I split the signal from the mic pre, send one direct to the converters and then send the other through the A810. On overheads for example I'll hit a rim so it's easy to line them up once recorded and delete the tracks which didn't go through the A810. I forget what the exact latency is but it is a lot so you'll need to find a way to monitor pre A810.

| Mastering? Thanks for the advice! :) I thought the A-810 might also double as a good mastering tool. Any Experience or advice about that? Thanks! |

| I do not know as a mastering tool, but I print all my mixes to it. Good machine. |
