Kelsey

We used to tour tour with a Kelsey 12 x 2. I never thought of it as a studio console, but it had a great sound for live applications, and the built-in reverb was excellent. Plus the thing was rugged as hell.

its 24x4.. looks equiped for a studid purpose. but it does have a built in road case so i suppose broadcast/stage as well. what is the sound like from what you could recall? warm? or more transparent etc. comparable to anything? how were the eq's?

I remember it having a warm kind of 3-D sound, decent top end but nothing spectacular. I believe it had three way shelf EQ (no parametric sweep). It definitely doesn't sound thin and icy like a Behringer or a Mackie.
