there is nothing for us slutz in Cancun in the way of gear or the like.
I go down there quite often, partner has a house about 1.5 hours south of Cancun in Tulum.
I suggest venturing south to Playa Del Carmen and Xel-Ha for some badass diving...Also check out the Cenotes (Lagoons) it's like swimming in a fishbowl! supercool.
The ruins in Tulum are amazing.
Akumal is another awesome place for diving-fishing-Cenote-Cavern exploring.
I really hate the Disney-esq vibe in Cancun. Further south is the place to be.
The one studio in Cancun is not worth your time to even go see...have a good time.

congrats on your (upcoming?) wedding.

imo, vacation means not thinking about normal day-to-day stuff. nuts to the gear, get drunk and sunburned instead.

No offense to Slutdom, but if you're asking about gear shops to check out while you're on your honeymoon, perhaps you shouldn't get married!

hmmmm ... imvho ... forget about this part of your life for AT LEAST the time of your honeymoon.

There is life after gear you know ... I think.

Congrats Jason but realy ... spend it with your wife .... not with gear.

You CAN buy a good true relationship (well, an 'honest' good relationship), but you shouldn't be thinking of that on your honeymoon...

I would invest in some ultra dark wraparound sunglasses.

They would help you cope with most things mentioned in this thread.

Also, matching Gearslutz.com T-shirts!

If you dont wear one, how else will you get spotted by fabulous studio facility owners in Cancun and invited to to the champagne and high end gear testing - bikini pool parties?

haha right on guys

A nice little chuckle in the morning.

You're right about the honeymoon. Gear should be last thing on my mind.

You know you're a GS when.... lol btw, it was my dad's idea to check out for some gear shops

Marriage is on the 29th of may btw. Looking forward to it.

Jules, the shirts would look great on the beach but I wouldn't want to attrack all the ladies ya know. I'm sure a mug though will look great along side our sweetwater and great river mugs : )
