which summing mixer for 500 series

i`m thinking about mixing 10 channels from DAW ( some main tracks-vocals , drums , guitars and stereo track with rest of mix) through Brent Averil ` 11 lunchbox using only eq`s (API and AVEDIS).
Considering using 10 tracks i`ll need line mixer with 16 ins...it could be great to have also master/monitor section so which one you recommand ? Or maybe there exists another similar solution ? As we know 500 series isn`t too expensive so don`t talk about new API or Chandler mixers

You could bus your channels out to your API EQs and then go into a RMS Folcrom. That way you could try different pres for make up gain.

I hooked up some Avedis E27's to the Speck XtraMix--sound was great! Something about the transformers in the E27's and the clean, hi-fi sound of the XtraMix that were very complimentry. Big and Rich.

Highly recommended

Just thought I'd point out that even if its all eqs you're buying, you might want to consider buying a rack that has a power supply which provides 48V phantom power. Some eq modules may require phantom power, but I don't know which ones, in fact, I don't think anyone does. I bought an EM-PEQ and a BAE rack 8 weeks ago and still haven't even heard the EM-PEQ.

Also, I'd choose a mixer with gain control for each channel and that has more than 8 channels. Aux sends, busses, mute, solo and pan are all things that you'll be glad you have.
