High End Reverb- Advice needed

Well, it's time for me to invest in a high end reverb/multi effects unit. I'm looking for something flexible with multiple outs and ins, but mostly I want the reverbs in the box to be lush and gorgeous. I will mostly be using it on Vocals and Acoustic guitars, also electric guitars and drums to give some dimension to the mix. For the above reasons, and budget concerns, I've pretty much decided to go with the KSP8, but wonder if this is the best choice. How good are the delays in the KSP8? If you guys could have only one high end box, which would you chose? Lexicon? TC? Eventide? Kurzweil? Is there anything that the other boxes do better than the KSP8 and what do you feel the Kurzweil does better than anything else? First and foremost, I am concerned about the quality of the reverbs, then the delays, and than other effects.
Thanks,
Sean

For high end REVERB to me THE ULTIMATE day in, day out is:

LEXICON 960

For some reason it´s still the most used reverb(besides the 480) in the industry and it´s the sound you´re used to from most of your favourite records.

It´s spaces are warm, lush, natural and sound good in most mixes - still light years away from every reverb plugin and in it´s kind it´s even better than the system 6000. Just my opinion.

For modulation FX you´ll want something else like Eventide, System 6000, Waves...

When ordering a 960 just order a second chassis and spray it in your colour ---> ROXX

The KSP will give you what your looking for I'm sure. You've mentioned some of the others yourself : 960 / 6000 / eventide are way up there too but compared to the KSP also quite a bit more expensive. If budget is not an issue I suggest you realy take your time and try at least one or 2 of those out and maybe compare it to the KSP.

The 'others' also offer quite a bit more then the KSP : higher sample rates and Full surround compatibility come to mind but maybe those are irrelevant for you so ...

I've got a 480l and haven't found anything that I like better overall. I recently got the Eventide 2016 and while it's certainly not as "hi-fi" as the 480, I've found it to be very useful. I haven't tried out the Kurz unit yet, although many folks around here speak highly of it.

My suggestion would be to rent some of the units that you're thinking about and do some mixing.

As always YMMV.
