Nice, I'm thinking about getting the same system, or possibly with the S8 and then again possibly sans sub.

Do you feel like doing an informal mini-review of the sub there, dropking?

I just got a pair of S8s yesterday, along with the 2108s for comparison. I am going to get into them today and tomorrow. I am coming from Genelecs, so I am accustomed to everything sounding so sweet to my ears. So far I've used the S8s. They brought about quite a rude awakening. My mix sounded terrible. There was so much in there I couldn't hear through the Genelecs. I messed with it for about two hours and wasn't sure I was completely satisfied when I left it. Then I listened in the car and it was, in fact, a vast improvement.

I will do a full review of both speakers in the coming days.

genelec 1031As?

ruined my life for 2 years.. huge hole around the crossover point for things to hide... most useless mixing speaker ever made.

i could never make accurate decisions on these monitors.. but they did help me discover auratones.

always loved quested & dynaudio speakers... the S8 speaker looks intriguing.. lots of power

I have been guilty of completely sleeping on Quested monitors.
The recent arrival of 3208's have changed that for me. Incredible monitors.

I am waiting on a set of S7's (3208's are a bit too big for my room - but they are a great compliment/contrast to my barefoots) and will post about them after I have a chance to mix with them.

I am not quite ready yet to give my full opinion on the S8s and the 2108s, though the two pairs I have sound quite different to me. These S8s are revealing almost to a fault, the 2108s sound great. A little out of my price range, but this is educational!

I just bought the quested s8r

THESE SPEAKERS ARE AMAZING..

it is WEIRD why there are no reviews, not much info out there on these speakers.

MONITOR SPEAKERS SHOULD =

-Reveal ALL details in EVERY MIX/SONG
-HELP the mixing engineer MIX well
-TRANSLATE well to every other average person's music listening system

my Questeds do that.

I have A/B'd and done tons of comparison tests between FOCALs (CMS series), YAMAHAs (HS series), ADAMS, and I LOVE the QUESTEDS SO MUCH MORE!

I test it with Genelec 8050/8250/8260 ,Adam s2x , quested VH3108 and highly recommend you get the Quested S8R or V2108 if you can afford it. It's that good!

Quested S8R is the only pair clear to have the best low end + high end reverb detail. The rest speaker either only good on the bottom or only good on the HF.
