  | My understanding is this is a more Broadcast oriented trade show. Can someone that's been to NAB before elaborate on why it would be a good idea to attend? Besides it being in the city of SIN?  Confrences, panel discussions (recording ) , new gear? I wanted To check out Tape op but ended up booking that weekend. Vegas is an easy in and out for me so.... ?

| NAB is a huge show. All of the major audio manufacturers tend to go there and show their entire line, not just stuff for broadcast. Vegas is so close to LA that many recording studio people attend NAB, despite its focus. Since NAB is about six months from the next AES, many manufacturers introduce recording oriented products there, such as SSL with their AWS 900. A downside is that most audio manufacturers are in the Radio/Audio hall, sharing space with Radio gear...50's SiFi looking antennas, telephone interfaces, 7-second delay boxes... |

Thread Starter | I'm flying in Monday the 19th around 10 am and leave Wednesday around noon. Wednesday morning is booked with Mr. Bryce for breakfast but Monday and Tuesday evening is wide open and would keep me from hanging at the Roulette table ;-} I would of course like to take advantage of the oh-so-much-better-than-Nashville Sushi while in Vegas  615-804-0812
