What FX-Box (DI) for distorted guitars ?

I want to "reunite" my old Noiserock/Indie group (which sounded a bit like a mixture between Unsane, Sonic Youth, Swans...) and want to re-record some older tracks which are soundin' so "Lofi-trashy" now, that I was shocked after hearing them the first time again (~10-12 years old).
We (Trio) want to record some Demo-Tracks and are looking for a good distortion FX/DI-Box, which is recorded directly besides the miced amp.
Any recommendations? Price isn't that important, I'm now looking for a good sounding box that rocks and is a good sound addition for mic'ed amp tracks.

Sans-Amp anyone?

Thanx in advance,
Phil

I'd recommend the Sequis "Motherload" which is a DI that comes after your guitar amp [speaker emulator]. If you can't get a good sound with that and your amp then you either need to change the amp, change the guitar or change both along with the player.

Peace.
