ADC coming in Protools 6.4 update

Taken from Digi forum:

"In the Mix Magazine article on the ICON there is a sidebar listing some new features in PT 6.4 to be released concurrently with the ICON. Auto Delay Compensation of both plug-in and routing delays is on the list, along with Track Punch (record-enable and punch on the fly), an input button on each channel (allowing swithing between input and playback), and a few other new features. The immediate release is for HD systems with MIX systems to follow."

I'm always amazed and wonder why so many suckers still use PT , i'm using nuendo and cubase sx2 and enjoy full delay compensation for already over a year... (by the way on pc with no crush for over 400 days, touch wood )

Yes, but if you are using a commercial facility here in USA very few, if any, r coming in to rent a room with a nuendo system or Samplitude (which I also have on PC since version 5.12) system.

But does Nuendo compensate for A/d and D/A latency on analog inserts as well? This was the real quandry that took so long for for PT to line analog inserts up with sends, auxes, track plugins and such.

You mean that ADC is coming in 6.3 do you not???

They are saving the 6.4 revision number for when the app is rewritten entirely in 64 bit code to take advantage of the G5 & Panther. A bit like they did with PT 5.1 adding support for 5.1 surround.

Everyone knows that though...

Don't they?

Great!
What about if you use your hardware (HD3 Accell in this case) with Logic Pro?
Is ADC restricted to the PT app or is it coded in the drivers accessible for 3:rd party developers?
