What about ears. How to be sweet to our ears. What can we do if there was a club too loud, or a pesky french horn in a bad acoustic. What can we do for them for normal maintenance. Googled but found little or nada....

I bought these several years ago: Etymotic Research, Inc. - Musicians Earplugs I use them when playing live, or at concerts or clubs. I prefer them greatly to the typical foam earplugs. Kinda expensive, but after all this is the high end forum

I use the cheap foam disposable "Hear-Os" that you can get at any phramacy. I've been to clubs where the band and the audience were all wearing them. Seems the only person who wasn't was the FOH mixer dude, who was obviously fried. I often feel like bringing in an SPL meter and telling the guy to keep it under 95...what's the point?

Avoid further loud noise until your ears can recover. If ringing or deafness persists, see an audiologist.

| Lives for gear | I feel there's some justice in the fact that the person who suffers the most from the horns in an orchestra is... ...the drummer!
