not normal levels with multiface?

I installed rme multiface on my machine today and did some checking and tests I find the levels to be a bit wired.
when I send a 0db test signal from my cp6800 console to the multiface i see -12dbfs on input (which i think is normal) but when i send a 0dbfs teat signal from the rme to the desk i get (only?) +4db on the vu meter is it normal?

Hi!

Are you on PC or MAC!

I use it with Logic 6.3, works great!

Gotta use the software mixer they provide in order to set your output levels correctly. The 3rd line of levels at the bottom are the outputs, if you ctr-clik (MAC) on the fader they will automaticaly set to normal level. But you can get more output if you need it by pushing those to a higher level.
You can use this mixer to monitor thru the card with zero latency and assign the inputs to any outputs.

Hope this helps!

Make sure you have the right configuration with the hardware jumpers in your interface (+2/+13/+19dbu). You have to get the doc info in order to manually set them...
