Used Once in Local Studio...

I liked it, however scrolling through I found all the plates to be a little forced not as natural a I'd hoped. However the unit is nice, it didn't scream go buy it. I liked the PCM 96 more.

Yes I know.

I've been making my apologies over on the Bricasti 2.0 thread.

I am waiting to buy one. I think it is good that you are not releasing it before you are happy with it.

In case you could use some encouragement during your final slog, let me say that the plate reverb that you posted the settings of sometime back is OUTSTANDING.

More please.

Version 2 may be very cool and I certainly cannot wait for it to come out. That said, I'm very happy with the current version- I'm getting some damn fine verbs out of the current version. Any extra is exactly that. Making a great box even better.

Hey, is that a Harrison Series 12? I've only seen it once in flesh, but it looked like a great desk!
Recallable analog should be the way of the future for me, don't see why Neve and SSL are not getting (really) into it for big desks...

Yep, it's a S12. And it sure is great. The DAW monitor mounting is custom though. But they'll kill us for talking about this in a Bricasti thread. There's more in the thread I started before I bought mine. Plus some more in the Series 12 Users Group I started, found in my signature. Now back to the Woohoooo routine.

Since it was this thread that inspired me to compare the Bricasti M7 to a $99 Behringer V-Verb, you might want to check the thread linked below to hear some audio examples.

was showing a new prospective client some mixes tonite and listened back to a mix I printed whilst I had a Bricasti on loan about a year ago. Man, I got the exact same feeling of WOW! Specifically, vocals just sitting in the mix like a record...damn it!

Orchestra + M7

A Bricasti M7 is ALL OVER this recording. Four mics only in a relatively dry and not-very-pretty hall. Two widely spaced Schoeps MK21 subcardioids in A-B for the most of the signal, plus two more Schoeps SDCs placed lower in front of the violas functioning to fill in the center of the image. All run through a Millennia HV-3D. Kudos to engineer Harvey Jernegan for his work on this. Having listened to the orchestra in the hall, I can attest that the recorded mix much better. Pretty much all the sense of spaciousness is courtesy of the M7. You can check out the mic positions on the video.

Oh, and the cello: Gabbrielli -- made in Florence in 1771!
