Thread Starter | What's that one Mic you just love or would love to own Yes their are plenty of nice mic's out there, from vintage to modern. What is your all time favorite mic or what mic would you just die to own? Everyone has that one special mic that you just love. Maybe it has that certain sound you just go crazy over or maybe just how it look's. Mine is the Sony c800g. I remember year's ago looking at one and i never thought id ever own one. One lucky day i was able to buy one, let me tell you it was such a great feeling when i opened it up. I looked at it for about an hour on the stand. LOL So the guy's out there that were able to get your dream mic, how was the feeling the day you received it ![]() |

| Royer 121. Maybe because I'm had my U-87 for so long and I love the fat, deep sound of the 121. I used it as a mono room mic the other day for a session and it was stellar... On guitars, it's a dream!

| RCA BK-5, I wish I had 2 of 'em. If money were no object, I'd snag a Neumann m49.

| My Soundelux 251. Okay, it's the nicest mic I own, so maybe that has something to do with it. But every time I hear it, I think, I want to be buried with that thing. - proxy |

| My first mic. I was around 14 at the time and completely crazy about music and anything related (like any kind of instruments and gear). One day I finally got some money and bought my first microphone. It was relatively big and heavy, looked a little like a space rocket, and it was build in gorgeous red painted aluminium. Oh, and it didn't plug into anything. The mic had a RF transmitter, so the way to use it was simply to get any radio and tune it to the mic's frequency. Presto. The open door to Rock&Roll. And it sounded like a million euros. The fact that it worked with RF weas great because back then I only had a stereo Sanyo radio-taperecorder, which didnt have any mic input. I made hundreds of tapes with that awesome setup. If only i knew what happened to this Mic. |

| I try not to think about gear that I "would love to own"... It's not healthy. I just use whatever I have available. But, put me down for an original ELAM 250/251. ![]() |

| How about an Elam 260? (stereo 251)? Doesnt Allen Sides have the only known one? That's one mic that would be fun to use in front of a kit....Maybe into a pair of REDD47's, a 670 and finally to a pair of EQP1's. Price tag could be near $70k for fantasy stereo setup ! ![]() |

Thread Starter | I just wanted to ask. Is getting a good vintage u67 much harder to find than a good vintage u47? |

| Ditto on the Royer 121. I don't have a riibon right now so a shinybox would suffice, but since you asked, the Royer. So much gear so little funds. ![]() |
