Thread Starter | Is there a big difference between a Goldpoint attenuator and a SPL Volume 2?
Hi!! I really need an attenuator between my converters and monitors. Is there a big difference between a Goldpoint attenuator and the SPL Volume 2? Can anyone please advice me on this? All help is very much appreciated. Thanks!! Marrone |

Nobody?  The goldpoint is a stepped attenuator and the SPL has a potentiometers. I do not know if this says somthing about the sound quality. Anyone can comment on this please? |

All I can say is that I bought an SPL Volume 2 to go with my new Focal Solo6's and I'm very happy I spent the money and got the SPL. It is completely transparent as far as i'm concerned and is of very high quality. I'm sure the stepped attenuater is great but I like having a very smooth variable pot.
