Thread Starter | mic and pre advice
im looking to get a new mic and pre. im recording only vocals for mostly hiphop. my vocals can be a bit sibilant. i dont have a very deep voice. im looking for a mic with a warm low end, strong mids and some sheen in the high end without it being abrasive. i want the pre to have some color but not sound dark. sometimes in hiphop producers dont leave a lot of room for the vocals so i want something that will sit well in the mix. some mic's i was considering: peluso 47le shure ksm44 lawson l47 pre's: UA solo610 great river ME-1NV i need to stay within $1000 range of each piece because im poor  i know these threads are beat to death but any thoughts or new suggestions are much appreciated. |
