America/Europe differences

Do you thjink there are some differences in studio concepts between america and europe? I think there´s a " must have " gear present on USA studios ( great river, Josehpson, .... ) and something different on european studios ( avalon, neumann... ). Do you think it´s because different " way of thinking " or maybe, difficulties to get some gear outside their natural terrotory ( for example, to get usa gear in spain is quite difficult and expensive in most cases ).

Also for acoustics, do you see differences in studio construction?

i think that in europe poeple used more the split console and in the US the inline console. well, i think thats back in the day though.

here in the US we just have a bunch of older gear laying around. like outboard reverbs, delays etc. or they are racked up but not used adn in some cases its just to fill up space to impress the client. probably europe is the same and its something due because of plugins and DAWs,

lets see, in the US almost all studios carry U87 and other neumans. preamps tend to go vintage in most studios, so neves and 1176for coppressor and that sort of stuff.

the modern stuff i have seen that small private/production studios own them.
