looking for a gritty vocal preamp, e guitar pre. Thinking TG2 or Germ compare

Can someone compare the TG2 to the Germanium
I want a nice crunchy preamp for vocals and electric guitars.

I hear the TG2 can do the 1073 flavor as well if you don't push it, but really opens up to some nice grit as you push it.

I plan to use a ribbon like 121 or naked eye and this pre for some electrics, peluso P12, Sm7, 4047, for vocals.

I've owned both, and they both are killer, as is all of Wade's stuff. The Germ is pretty versatile, the feedback control dials in all sorts of tones. That said, I ended up selling it and going back to what I had originally, the TG2, which is just my favorite "colored" solid state pre in the world. I do vocals and guitars in my room, no drums...

If budget is a factor the Germ is hard to go wrong with.
