Distressor playing up ...

I got EL8XS and one of them has been playing up since day one ... (bought them new)
Every time I turn it on it forgets the settings i had and I have to re set it .. its no biggy as I always use it on the same settings and I love them and use them every day (its working fine otherwise and I don't want to send it back and wait for weeks)
What can it be ?

sounds like a bum 'super cap'. Get in touch with Empirical Labs and I'm sure they'll take care of it asap.

There's a battery in it..

I believe that the Empirical Labs online manual or FAQ mentions a battery, but mine did not have one and Dave Derr told me that they only use the Super Cap and there is no battery in a Distressor.

I had the same problem with one of my Distressors - they repaired and shipped it back out on the day the received it - all under warranty. Great company.
