| GR Channel or Buzz ARC!! Quote:
i think these two are your best bet; the Great River NV channel is about the best route i can think of. i love the GR preamp/eq. fwiw there are several routing options with the GR pair that can take advantage of the output transformers on the preamp or just use the transformerless output of the eq. here is a quote from Fletcher where he explains the various options when you own the GR preamp and eq, from this thread: Great River EQ-1NV adds depth ? The arc is quite nice... Though you might want to consider: pacifica-->1176--->lil freq |

You should also check out the Aurora Audio GTQC... I've got nothing but incredible results with it using both the 47 LE & 251 from Peluso.

I would maybe consider something else besides the Great River for vocal applications. I love my ME-1NV, but probably like it least on my voice. Not sure how to describe it, but it is a bit rough sounding, which might be a plus for harder rock vocals. Personally, I am looking for something a bit cleaner perhaps. Then again, I am a very quiet singer, so I generally have the gain up pretty high on the Great River, which could be part of the problem. Also, I've never used the pre in conjunction with the eq, so take that with a few grains of salt. I am however using it with a Peluso P12, if that helps... -Chris |
