Any info on these passive Teldec eq modules?

hi folks,

I'm cross-posting this over at group DIY - hope you don't mind.

just yesterday, I scored a pair of Teldec MPE 10 passive eq modules.

Teldec was a record company that resulted from the merger of Telefunken and Decca if my memory serves me well.
I know they had their own mastering studio here in berlin - so my guess is that "MPE" stands for "mastering program equalizer", also taking into account the fact that the treble band goes all the way up to 30kHz.

I've only given these modules a brief test run with a Tele V76 as make-up amp and yep, sounds bloody awsome.

any hints regarding schematics or history are warmly welcome - thanks.

Those are fantastic eq's and really hard to find.
I found some about a year ago.
I was told they were originally for classical mastering too.
I'm not the expert when it comes to audio, but I've been working with a very experienced engineer. He loved using them on my kick and snare when mixing drums. Very Pultecish he reckoned.

yes, I can confirm the pultec-esque character.
after all, a pultec is built around a comparable topology of inductors and caps, just with a built-in tube make-up stage.

[spoiler]

brad, I'm afraid I grabbed the two last ones here in berlin.
as a matter of fact, I should have posted this in the "what was your best gear deal"-thread, since I only paid 200 euros for the
pair.

[end spoiler]
