Analog Tape

Are there companies out there that still manufacture analog tape for a studer A827?

RMGI SM900 and Studer make a great combination. Thank God RMGI came on line when they did or we'd be up the creek without a paddle now. There's still digital but dfegad

Linux is digital because it is a computer operating system. I see you piss on digital. Why do you piss on linux?

You probably hate the Bible too, especially the pro-men, anti-women's rights stuff. (Like the Old Testament law in the Bible that an unmarried rape victim marries her rapist, oh you probably hate that.)

All pro-women's rights people should convert away from Christianity and Judiasm so that said religions can be unconstrained by the 'liberals' (for lack of a better term) lies about how the Bible isn't anti-women's rights and pro-men.

OK then.

Relates nicely to Analog Tape aquisition.

...

Perhaps the most bizarre and insane post ever.

I tried to think about that post for about 30 seconds, then blood started shooting out of my nose. That was 'grandmother crawling up your leg with a knife between her teeth' weird.

Anyone have any experience using RMGI SM911 on an Otari MTR90mkII?

I like cake. The best version of Unix is OSX.

That being said... IF RMGI is the only new tape available, what debate could there be? It probably works better than other available new tape options.

I was stunned at first, but then...Nice touch relating bible with digital era. In fact, if there were aliens looking down on us they would probably think that we spend too much time in prayer infront of our computers in hope that nothing would go wrong with computer while mixing. Hallelluyah Bill!

Yeah, cereal is good. You really need both. Maybe that should be a separate thread comparing the two.

And back to the tape thing, another good source for RMGI and all your tape needs Professional Recording Studio and Broadcast Supplies: Recording Tape, Microphones, FireWire Drives, DVDR, CDR, DAT, ADAT, Open Reel Tape, Recording Supplies

You can't bankrupt that which has no bankroll.
Linux will reign.

Why would you even want to kill Linux? I mean, unless you're a gay apple user who doesn't think Linux is suffeicently gay? Try unbuntu, it's color scheme is brown... which seems gay to me for some reason.

Tape is being made by RMGI.
You can try US DataMedia for ordering.

There are some audio apps for Linux, and a PT killer can one day be reality, but for now - PC or MAC is still the best platform for Audio.
And thats coming from a Linux dude (been a diehard since day one).

So what will the Linux version of PT be?

Gno-Tools ?

That would rule!
( a linux PT Hardware driver, niiiiice ! )
