Thread Starter | Not able to sync digital data from Krog Triton Exterme to Rosetta 200 I'm taking in at 48 khz digital signal (24bit) from my korg triton extreme to my rosetta 200 (DA/AD converter) via an optical connection. I'm upsampling the 48 to 96 in rosetta and then feeding it to my pc via coaxial lines. Reason being I've recorded the vocals at 96, therefore my projects (in sonar) are 96k project. However I'm not sure (guessing not) if the digital out from korg is synced with rosetta (or maybe the other way around, not sure if rosetta is synced with my keyboard.) My keyboard can not be set as slave, so its just sending out signal sampled at 48k. My rosetta can be a salve to keyboard, but if I do that, then I can't upsample to 96 k. So what I've been left to do is just bring the digital 48 k signal in from my keyboard, upsample in rosetta (while having rosetta be its own master sync) and then send the 96 k signal out via coaxial. With above set up, I hear no pops/clicks. But I'm not sure if I'm safe since I've read so many places that the digital signals need to be synced. Am I safe in thinking the somehow rosetta is making sense of the data coming in at 48 k, and puting the bits of data in their right place before upsampling them??? Sorry for the rambling, just wanted to ask the experts. Maz |
