Thought I start a useless but fun "Top 10 Sexiest Consoles ever made" thread. I am a true
console fetishist
Here's my top 3:
1) Euphonix System 5
2) SSL Axiom MT
3) Neve VXS |

Yeah, I think a top 3 would be more realistic.
And are you going on sound or looks?
I probably wouldn't place many modern, digital desks in the top 3 for sound.
My list in no particular order:
1970's Helios (Rainbow Studios model?)
1970's Cadac (Wessex Studios model?)
1970's Api (a 1604 would be nice to own).
Of course a couple of the classic Neve desks that reside around the world would probably trump my top 3.

I've always found large newer SSL's to govern the "cool factor" .

I definitely like the way my System 5 looks. Especially when all the lights are on and meters are moving.
Also the SSL C200 is a good looking console to me. I have the API Vision as my desktop picture so I would have to say I like the way that one looks.

Well the release date was supposed to be 2004, but I do not think any have been delivered...
I'm not sure if it's sexy or not!

My APC1000 might make the top 10 list, it defiantly makes it in the top few for its sound |

| DI-AN was cool in a funky kind of way.
I reckon if I made a list all of the following would be in it.
Focusrite
Trident 70 (looks so nice and old school!)
Helios
Trident B
EMI
This Philips console intrigues me
MCI JH600 (mine and it's cool because it used to be Kraftwerks )
Then obviously a nice NEVE and API...
