signal route question n72>1176

I need to track some vox and guitar to bring to a pro studio to be dropped in a mix (drums already have been cut there). We will be tracking through a pc with pt 7 and an apogee rosetta (2 channel spdif into an m audio sound card dongle). Currently we have a gt brick, 7th circle n72, and a used reissue 1176. Mics are a 57 and a mxlv67g (another mic may be added depending on funds).

Although the 57 is considered to be a stellar mic for rock vocals, it sounds like it has a blanket over it compared to the cheap chinese marshall (perhaps thats the brightness factor the cheap condensors have?). Anyway...

For vox, the mxl through the n72 seems pretty rockin for now. Regardless of what mic/pre combo is used, I would like to bring two identical tracks, with the only difference being one printed with a touch of 1176 and one printed with nothing except the mic pre. How would this be routed if using one mic pre? Can you just split the signal coming out of the pre somehow? (one going stright into the rosetta, the the other 1176 >rosetta?

Any other suggestions/ideas/etc from more experienced people would be appreciated -
